Water filtration systems are a cost-effective way to improve your water quality with minimum power requirement or water loses. Our systems are customized to your particular water quality addressing turbidity or coloration due to high levels of sediments or suspended solids. Various types of filtration systems are available for different water quality, including sand filters, cartridge filters and ultrafiltration.

Sand filtration is used for the removal of suspended matter, as well as floating and sinkable particles. The wastewater flows vertically through a fine bed of sand and/or gravel part. The yield of a sand filter is determined by two sand filter functions, namely surface filtration and depth filtration. Surface filtration involves collecting the particles above the filter bed. These particles jointly form a macro-porous lump, which is able to collect new particles in a very effective manner. Depth filtration generally involves smaller particles that are more difficult to collect, and which are bound to the sand particles by adsorption. Particles are then removed by way of absorption or physical encapsulation.

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a process in which hydrostatic pressure forces a liquid against a semi-permeable membrane. Suspended solids and solutes of high molecular weight are retained, while water and low molecular weight solutes pass through the membrane.

The presence of calcium and magnesium carbonates in water makes the water hard. This causes scaling and damage to water systems, e.g. boilers, electric household appliances, valves and taps. Hard water does not easily lather with soap making it undesirable for laundry. Water disinfection means the removal, deactivation or killing of pathogenic microorganisms. Microorganisms are destroyed or deactivated, resulting in termination of growth and reproduction. This we achieve through a combination of Chlorination and filtration. Our disinfection units will ensure a continuous supply of safe drinking water.

Sterilization is a process related to disinfection. However, during the sterilization process all microorganisms present in the water are killed. We use Ultraviolet sterilizers a purely physical, chemical-free process that utilizes germicidal ultra-violet lamp which produces short wave radiation that is fatal to bacteria and other micro-organisms present in water.
